This Buy-it-Now auction of the 2009 Lincoln Bicentennial Pennies consists of the complete set of eight (8) pennies from the Philadelphia and Denver Mint and are in BU condition straight out of bank rolls.  Each 2009 Lincoln Cent features four different reverse designs as a way of celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Abraham Lincoln and the 100th anniversary of the Lincoln Cent. The obverse design of the Lincoln Cent continued to use the bust of Lincoln designed by Victor D. Brenner. The first design of this set was released on Lincoln’s birthday February 12, 2009 as a Limited Edition of the Lincoln penny.
Important note:  Coins are usually sent out First Class Mail without a tracking number.  Reason is, if I had to use tracking, I would have to charge at least $2.75 tracking fees, cost of which I would have to pass on to you, the buyer.
Each reverse design represented a different stage of Abraham Lincoln’s life. The four designs were released in approximately equal intervals throughout 2009.  You will received all eight pennies, P and D mint as follows:
LP1 – Log Cabin Penny – depiction of a log cabin representative of Lincoln’s humble beginnings. This reverse was designed by Richard Master and sculpted by Jim Licaretz.
LP2 – Formative Years Penny – depiction of young Lincoln reading a book to educate himself between splitting rails. This reverse was designed and sculpted by Charles Vickers.
LP3 – Professional Life Penny – depiction of professional Lincoln standing before the Illinois State Capitol. This reverse was designed by Joel Iskowitz and sculpted by Don Everhart.
LP4 – Presidency Penny – depiction of the half completed Capitol Dome. This reverse was designed by Susan Gamble and sculpted by Joseph Menna.
All coins are handled with white cotton gloves.

The pennies you receive are business strikes.  That means that they may have minor scratches or other minor problems and were meant for general distribution into the public, but for most part are acceptable.  If you want a set of these pennies in immaculate condition, may I suggest you purchase a set of “Proof” pennies.  They will run you in the neighborhood of $20.00 or more
